The immediate area around the cabinets is covered to prevent paint from getting anywhere that it doesn’t need to be.

Following these steps there’s a mixture of sanding, dusting and priming, and whatever else is needed to ensure that your job is done to exceed the highest of your standards.

We provide two different types of painting finishes: fine finish and brush and roll. Having your kitchen cabinets painted with a fine finish offers a higher quality result, but will typically cost more when compared to the same brush and roll job. This is due to the fact that more time, preparation and work is involved as well as the actual method to paint your cabinets. Below are the steps for each kitchen cabinet painting method.

Fine Finish Kitchen Cabinet Painting Procedure:

1. Protect and cover counters and floors.
2. Remove doors and drawers along with their hardware.
3. Thoroughly clean doors, drawers and cabinet boxes with a degreaser.
4. Sand doors, drawers and cabinet boxes. Remove dust.
5. Mask all areas that are not to be painted. This includes but is not limited to floors, countertops, appliances, inside cabinet boxes, walls and ceilings.
6. Section off kitchen from the rest of the house with plastic walls.
7. Ventilate the masked off kitchen area with utility blowers and ventilation hoses to move air, dust and odor from the masked off kitchen directly to the outside.
8. Prime doors, drawers and cabinet boxes with bonding primer. In most cases, the doors and drawers will be primed and sprayed offsite.
9. After priming we check for repairs that may be needed and we will fill in gouges, cracks and holes. These areas are then primed.
10. Fine Finish spray two coats to doors, drawers and cabinet boxes. In most cases, the doors and drawers will be sprayed offsite.
11. Unmask kitchen.
12. Reinstall doors and drawers and their hardware.
